Online Ammonia Analyzer, HANH-4000, is a measuring equipment designed to enable measurement of ammonia nitrogen by using the colorimetric method. The color formation reagent that is used by HANH-4000 is Hypochlorite and Salicylate substances, which are not harmful unlike the indophenols method that uses phenol. HANH-4000 continuously measures the ammonia nitrogen concentration in the water in accordance with the Standard Water Pollutant Testing Method, and it enables continuous automatic measurement of water quality in a variety of application areas such as drinking water quality management, wastewater treatment facility control, and groundwater.

Principle
When the sample flows in to the analyzer, the ammonia nitrogen in the sample becomes NH2Cl under the Hypochlorite conditions, and after the reaction with Salicylate, 5-Aminosalicylate is colored formed with Sodium Nitroferricyanide and measured at 660nm. The absorption spectrophotometry using Salicylate method is almost same as the indophenols method, but because the harmful phenol reagent is replaced with Salicylate, safe measurement is possible.
